79' Chevy Camaro RS
I currently am working on upgrading/restoring my car. I am far from an expert in restoring or engine modifications, but still have a lot of experience. I've picked up a bunch of the tricks of the trade throughout my project. If you have any suggestions or comments, drop me a line.

I came across an awesome tribute to the men who gave their lives in defense of our country. Why, you wonder, is this tidbit in the vehicles section? Well, why don't you find out..........

History of my car: I bought the car in the summer of my junior year in high school, which was June 95.' It was all stock then, store down in Florida for 9 years. I found it by accident after checking on another car in Norwalk, OH. I was on my way back to Tiffin, OH (my hometown) when there was this junk yard with a green camaro sitting there "For Sale."

We stopped and talked to an old man about it. Little did we know that he was about to sell us a huge "lemon." Doug Bazar (my best racing buddy, a.k.a. ""crazy Doug") and I got it for $800, and took it home.

About two days later we found out about the "swiss cheese" gas tank. We must have left about ten gallons of premium all over Tiffin's streets, especially near a bank where I stopped to use a MAC machine. We spent the greater part of the night (until about 3 in the morning) putting a new tank in. It was then that the discovery was made tha tevery single line under neath the car was rusted out.

It's a miracle that the floorpans weren't super rusty as well. In fact, the underneath of the car was in great condition besides the brake, fuel, and transmission lines. After running all those lines, I now consider myself more than qualified in this area. Brakes got redone about this time as well.

So, I suppose that you're wondering how in the hell I found a gas tank that night? Well, Crazy Doug just happen to have one. He has a 79' Camaro as well, only his is a Berlinetta. He has a fuel cell in his so he just happen to have a tank sitting around.

More to come..........(top)
